X-Blogger Tells His experience

I came across a story that I must share. An X-blogger was trying to build his business online with a blog but without knowing how to do it. He made friends with a few people who were quitting their jobs because their blogs were making enough money.

He put in a lot of work over 6 months to only find that he was getting very little results and wasn't happy.

So he decided to build a website and go with the same company that I use and recommend to everyone.

Now, I know how to get found in the search engines. This works with a blog or a website. Blogs should only be an extension of a website and not solely used. They wont be around forever and are severely limited.

I’ve been doing a case study of my own to see how well this “SBI thing” would pan out. I think today I can say that I’m officially an X-blogger. Now I didn’t have a long prosperous blogging career like some, I was still a newbie but here is my story:

I researched blogging for 6 months before I started one. I was teaching family and friends how to invest, but I had the desire to help more people. I decided to take my passion to the web and just have one site with everything on it. This way I could teach more people.

I had tried to build a web site before but 8 months and many long hours later I decided that learning computer code was not for me. A blog seemed like a good alternative.

Besides, most of the bloggers I had become friends with over the 6 months were now doing it full time. I managed to become friends with them right when they were quitting their jobs.

On average they invested 2-3 years of “sweat equity”. Replacing your corporate income in 3 years didn’t seem like a bad trade off. I didn’t even consider making money at first I just wanted to teach people, but after learning I could make money from blogging I was sold.

Fast forward 8 months. I have 126 posts on my blog. I’ve commented on a gazillion other blogs. I managed to secure 11 incoming links, and have many friends in the blogging community.

I was invited to be a guest blogger on a few sites which gave me spurts of visitors every now and then, but on average I had 10-16 visitors a day. I was told this was normal and it might take a year or so before I saw any real results.

No one, and I mean no other blogger I talked to had a firm grasp on SEO. It was more like “inundate the search engines with quantity and you’ll eventually gain popularity”. Nothing like what SBI teaches.

I put adsense up after 3 months because someone told me that was about when you should do it. After 6 months I had made only $20.

I worked on my blog nearly every day and after 6 months of hard work I only earned $20. Now I wasn’t in it for the money, but that wasn’t cutting it. I sacrificed spending time with my wife to build that blog and spending time with her would have given me a FAR better return on my efforts. You know the 80/20 that Ken talks about.

Why do some succeed while others fail? I don’t know about everyone else but for me it was because I didn’t have SBI.

How I Steal Sales From My Competitor

When I see competitors websites on the internet ranking high in the search engines, I go and check out their websites.

Why do this?

There are many reasons but for this topic, it is to do research to take sales away from them. When I say steal, of course its not literally stealing, I'm just outselling them and the customer joins my MLM Network Marketing company.

Here is what I do.

I visit their site. If they have google adsense then I target their website for the keywords. My ads outsell them (meaning, I'm very creative and effective in my sales writing to make people visit my site) and when visitors visit them, they see my add, they click the add, go to my website, and join in my downline.

Its perfectly legal to do this and in the end, I get more downline and I get to help more people.

You can easily do this yourself.

Successful Network Marketing Prospecting Proof

I want to show you proof of my successful network marketing prospecting. I haven't shown anyone my back office for my MLM Network Marketing Company before, ever.

I want to show you the results from this month alone. I use moral and lawful practices. I don't do anything that will take advantage of or hurt people. I know personally, some who do. I was sponsored by a guy who was like this and I quit. I could have a bigger business right now if I stayed under him but I refused to do immoral practices and take advantage of people.

In the end, everything was about him.

**This is an update to my original post. It is 3/31/09. I and my downline shown below both signed up another manager each. You wont see that listed below but I wanted to let you know about this. So just add it to the final number. **


Here is a screen shot from my back office. I scratched out people's names and their ID's for privacy reasons.

Here is what you are looking at. I am an area manager (that is why there is an A next to my name) which is 3 levels up.

Here are the levels:

• Preferred Customer
• Manager
• Area Manager

Under me is a M. Under her is 3 M's, 3 non qualified orders (@ in red box), and 3 no orders (@ in white box).

The first M has been there for a couple months. I started a new advertising campaign for this downline. This month in March, Everything from the blue arrow to the next came in.
That is 8 people that signed up for an account. 2 signed up to move up to be a manager, 3 had non qualified orders, and 3 didn't order anything.

The last M actually signed up today. So it is still working.

As I am writing this, there are still a few days left in the month. My downline has 5 new people this month and maybe another 1 or 2 will sign up.

So, that is me helping my downline.

Now, let me show you a few that signed up under me.

This is a screen shot from the bottom of my back office. This month I have 7 people sign up under me. The 1st one on the list was from last month.

I have 3 no orders, 2 non qualified orders, 1 qualified (@ in black) and 1 Manager.

I have 4 new prospects with orders and my downline talked about and pictured above has 5. That is a total of 9 new prospects in my downline this month alone.

I do have some others in my downline that order every month and some who order once in a while.

I have stepped up my marketing and well, if I am getting results like this now, then I can wait to see what will happen with everything that I am doing.

This is proof that you can be successful at network marketing prospecting.

Remember, all these people came to me. I did not go chase anyone to join my business. They found me online and signed up and started ordering products.

MLM, Network Marketing and Taxes

Before I go on, I just want to give you this link to my website. If you just want to reduce the amount of taxes to the lowest percentage possible, then you need to read this page on MLM Tax Deductions. I give you some examples of how you can write off your autoship and your pets on that page.

Back to what I was saying.

Let me give you a perfect example.

United States - You say it means the 50 states? The 50 states and the territories?

Well, when it comes to federal statutes, the United States means Washington DC, Puerto Rico, U. S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Somoa, other territories and other areas in the 50 states that the states Ceded to the Federal government.

So, when you see United States (U.S.) you think it always means what you believe it to mean and it isn't always that way.

I do know about requirements to pay taxes. I was able to tell the corporation I work for that it doesn't apply to me and they no longer take taxes out of my check.

My MLM company, Eniva, rejected my document that I sent them. I may have to take them to court over it now because legally, I am right. I was told that the Director there has not heard of what I was claiming (even though it is right in the Federal Statutes) and so he wont accept it.

I can't help everyone on this issue and I certainly can't help for free on this.

I am willing to bet that I am the only MLM or Network Marketing person around discussing this issue like this.

First Year In Network Marketing

Many people are told not to expect to make money in their first year in network marketing.

You know why that is?

I know what they say. They say it is because most businesses don't make any money in their first year.

Have you ever looked at why businesses don't make money in their first year? Its because of their overhead. If you make $100,000 in your first year and you paid $100,001 in bills the first year, you lost $1.

But the thing is, they had money come in. Most people in Network Marketing or MLM don't get any money coming in, in their first year, or ever.

If your don't have any overheard, (maybe just your autoship is your overhead) then making money your first year should be easy.

You know why it isn't? Because the majority of people are taught a failure system.

I'm going to tell you a little secret about your mlm company (maybe not yours but most are this way).

They don't want you to succeed. They love having you as a customer.

You see, the distributors are portrayed as business owners but when you look at the bottom line, they are nothing more than customers for the company and the company knows it.

Let me give you a perfect example.

Here is what she said, in my own words, in her book.

I started having so much success that I couldn't handle it myself. I was sponsoring so many people that my downline had to help and they were sponsoring a lot of people. Me and my team were showing up in the top reports for the company all the time. We didn't do things like everyone else and they didn't want anyone asking, so they removed us from the reports. It couldn't be contained! The growth we were having spread everywhere and people wanted to be moved to our group. Of course that can't happen, so people quit, waited their time limit, and resigned up under my group.

It is easy to say, my MLM company isn't like that. I hope that is true but the majority of companies are. One way to tell is by the TOS (Policy and Procedures). If they are very restrictive, then yes, your company is like that.

Some companies, like AMWAY, have something like 50 pages to their TOS. How ridiculous!

I read theirs, and they, along with Melaluca, are two of the most strictest companies around.

Both of these companies fit into that category that I was talking about above.

Now I have rambled on and I hope it was beneficial for you.

I said all that to say this, it is totally untrue that you can't make money in your first year.

When you use good business practices, you should make money your first year. I know people that made a full time income in 6-8 months.

If I didn't slack off like I did, I would be in the same position. So, I'm turning the heat up.

Network Marketing Secret

What is the Network Marketing Secret, if there is a secret to it?

I listened to an Interview today with Mike Klingler and Ann Sieg and I think he said exactly what it was. He basically said, you need a training system that will allow you to be you and develop who you are and your giftings.

He mentioned a guy that was very successful. He had a suitcase full of products and promoted and sold them everywhere he went.

The problem was, that worked very well for him but wont work for everyone. As I agree with Mike, we both know that wont work for us.

If you have the right personality, it could work very well for you.

The same goes for online systems. People try to sell you a system and say, "Hey, this system will do all the work for you and everyone will succeed"!

Mike says it simply, not every system works for everyone.

I'm just shocked at how much Mike and myself agree.

Network Marketing Prospecting for Today

It use to be (in some cases, still) that Network Marketing Prospecting was telling your friends, neighbors, and family about your product and business.

They would either become a business builder, a customer, or not do either. This was prospecting.

Some people still do it that way today and they have the right personality for it and are successful. That is a small percentage of people which leaves the rest of us failing.

Today, we don't have to do that kind of prospecting, matter of fact, I recommend that you don't.

Today you can use the internet to find your prospects. You can take this same old technique and do it on line. You can chase everyone down in forums and on all kinds of websites.

If that doesn't sound appealing to you, then I'm going to give you the alternative.

Have your prospects come to you.

Yes, you can have unlimited amounts of prospects come right to you and ask or even beg to buy your product or join your company.

The way to have your prospects come to you is to find out what they are looking for. Once you know what they are looking for, you can have a website that will provide that information.

The great part about it is, there are millions of people searching every day for information and they can easily find you.

You have what they want and they will beg you and even pay you to give it to them.

I am assuming that you don't know how to build a website, or maybe not know how to find what people are looking for, or not know how to get found in the search engines where people are searching.

Which ever limitation is holding you back from Network Marketing Prospecting, I know I can help.

Network Marketing Blog

A Network Marketing Blog is a great way to generate leads for your MLM and Network Marketing company.

I don't know how long blogs will be around for the way technology is, so I always recommend building a website and have your blog as part of your website.

I started this network marketing blog to teach people what I have learned over the last few years about building a successful business.

I hope that you will have a look around at the tips and information that I provide.

If you need help with setting up your own blog, I will do my best to help you if I have the time available. I'm very busy and I have people that I coach to build their online businesses.

Also, those that are part of my Network Marketing business take a priority.

If you are looking for a blog to build, there are many free ones. I don't recommend wordpress.com unless you are going to download the software and use your own host.

They don't allow MLM or Network Marketing blogs or affiliate links. Blogger.com is a great one because they allow you and want you to make money.

If I were asked for the #1 Network Marketing Tip, it would be this:

Run Your Business Like a Traditional Business

There is a lot in the statement. I know many sponsors and uplines say the same thing but when you really look at it, they don't know what they are talking about.

Most people in MLM and Network marketing have never ran a successful business and don't know what it takes.

I don't mean for you to run out and buy a storefront and put a bunch of products and sales staff there. The main part of running your business like a business is advertising.

People need to know you exist and you have something they want. You can do advertising in many ways.

Here is a list of some options.

• News paper ads
• Magazine ads
  
• Radio ads
• Website
• Online advertising (google adwords)
• Blog
• Online stores
• Blasting forums and comment sections of websites

These are things people do but I don't recommend them all. The 2 simplest out of them all are websites and blogs.

I discuss these on my New Network Marketing Companies page in a little detail.

Take some time to start learning about sales and advertising and marketing. That is the aspect of running your business like a business that you are missing and it is the key to your success.

That is my #1 Network Marketing Tip.

I know, people say, ITS NOT SALES, and that is why there is so much failure. Everything is sales. You have to sell yourself to get a job, to talk somebody into doing something, and even giving something away for free.

Think about any recommendation you made to your friend. You sold them on the idea, that's sales.

I hope that I started to generate some thoughts in your head about the direction you need to go. Be sure to read that link that I provide and sign up for my email list.

Join Eniva Business Opportunity

When looking to join Eniva business opportunity, make sure that you are joining with someone who can and will help you be successful.

If that includes calling your friends and family, then that is not someone you want to follow. You will end up spending money on your autoship, losing your friends and family, and not making anything.

This method is just a poor way of running a business.

Now, there are those who promise to put people under you and build your organization. Be careful of these people. I was approached by a guy like this and he had me helping him to talk people he found to join and promised me that he would put them under me. Some he did and some he didn't.

His excuse was that he had to put them somewhere else. He also was sending me affiliate links all the time for me to buy stuff. It seemed like everyday he was trying to get me to buy things so he could make commission.

Nothing wrong with promoting products and making money, but when my sponsor sends me at least 5 a week, and I talk to him 10 times a week, thats a problem.

He didn't teach me what he was doing, so I couldn't do it on my own. You don't want to be left in the dark because if this person is gone, then you have no way to build a business.

New Network Marketing Companies

People tend to think that if they find and join one of the new network marketing companies it increases their chances for success.

Why do they think this?

They think that there is less saturation. What does this mean? Let me explain it.

Saturation is basically this, everyone you know is in a certain company and most people around are also. So, you can't get them to join because they are "already in".

I hope this is not the case with you and the reason that you are looking for one of the new network marketing companies.

Many new companies fail. So, it can be said that with a new company, you have a greater chance of doing a lot of work for it to only collapse before you.

How to Succeed?

Here is what you need to do. Instead of looking for a new mlm company to join on the "ground floor", learn how to make any mlm or network marketing company you join successful.

I don't care what anyone tells you, you can do this. Even if everyone in your city or state is in 1 mlm company, you can still sponsor people and be very successful.

With just a few tips for you to think about, I hope that you want to learn more.

Advertising

It is said that when you join a MLM company, you are now in your own business. Most companies and uplines pretend to teach you what that means but lets think about it.

• Go call all your friends and family to get them to join.
• Go to the local stores and pest people to join or get their numbers and call them later
• Harrass people online to join your business.
• Spam your links to your pages or emails all over the internet

Does this sound like good business techniques? Is this what McDonald's does? Does the local business owner (flower shop, mechanic, pizza shop, etc.) do these kinds of methods to grow their business?

I don't think so unless they want to go out of business real fast. Some sales people do go door to door to offer products but most businesses don't rely on these sort of tatics.

So, if that is not how to run a business, then why do you? Why are people telling you to do that?

Also, I can guarantee that friends and family want discounts since they know the business owner. Its a sure way to go bankrupt.

Real Business Techniques

What are real ways to promote a business?

• Build a website

Businesses build websites. You see them all over. So why not do the same? One of the problems of building a website is knowledge. Don't know how to do the html coding or how to get people to it. I know exactly what that was like until several years ago. I knew some html coding and graphic design, but how were people going to find it. I found a way where I didn't need to know the html coding and they taught me how to build a website that people would find, lots of them. • Internet advertising (google adwords)

You can advertise on the internet using systems like google adwords. This cost money and can get really expensive if you don't know what you are doing. I am currently doing a small adword campaign with my mlm and it is signing up about 2-4 people a month. This more than pays for the advertising money that I spend. Not bad huh?

I get to have these people sign up directly under me and right now I have them signing up under people in my downline. To do this kind of advertising, you need some kind of webpage or blog to send people to. Then you will need some kind of sales page that will sell the person and have them sign up.

Also, it is good to have some kind of advertising and marketing knowledge so that you write out your ads well.

• Build a Blog

You can build a blog for free. You can also spend a little bit of money and get a domain name for your blog. The free ones are totally controlled by the company that hosts them. If they purposely or accidentally delete your blog, its gone with no trace.

You can spend some money on hosting (about $5-$10 a month) and have total control over your blog. A blog may not be a permanent thing like websites are, but you can see some fast growth with them.

Using these tools, you will have customers or business builders coming to you. No longer will you have to go chasing them and this is how a real business is suppose to be built.

What is this Attraction Marketing all About?

Have you seen these websites, videos, and blogs talking about Attraction Marketing? They talk about it like it is some new thing.

You know what I find ridiculous about Attraction Marketing?

Let me put it like this and then I will answer the question. Let's say your guy friend talks about his wife but instead of saying, "my wife", he says, "my spouse wife". How annoyed would you get if he always talks about his "spouse wife".

Wouldn't you want to just smack him and say, "They are the same thing"! Yes, they are different words but in almost all cases, a man's spouse is his wife.

That's how I feel about Attraction Marketing (its just a pet peeve and people use it, so I will get over it). Marketing is about setting up specific objectives and either attracting or pushing away.

Most people and companies market to attract new customers to their company and products. During politic campaigns, they market to attract votes while also marketing to push votes away from their opponent.

But, when you discuss marketing, it mainly deals with attracting people to you. So when someone says Attraction Marketing, they are saying the same thing, really.

So, to understand Attraction Marketing, you just study marketing.

I have been studying marketing for the last few years and right now I'm taking a class at my local college.

I learned that marketing is a huge business and very expensive.
