First Year In Network Marketing

Many people are told not to expect to make money in their first year in network marketing.

You know why that is?

I know what they say. They say it is because most businesses don't make any money in their first year.

Have you ever looked at why businesses don't make money in their first year? Its because of their overhead. If you make $100,000 in your first year and you paid $100,001 in bills the first year, you lost $1.

But the thing is, they had money come in. Most people in Network Marketing or MLM don't get any money coming in, in their first year, or ever.

If your don't have any overheard, (maybe just your autoship is your overhead) then making money your first year should be easy.

You know why it isn't? Because the majority of people are taught a failure system.

I'm going to tell you a little secret about your mlm company (maybe not yours but most are this way).

They don't want you to succeed. They love having you as a customer.


You see, the distributors are portrayed as business owners but when you look at the bottom line, they are nothing more than customers for the company and the company knows it.

Let me give you a perfect example.

I read this book (online free report) by Ann Sieg yesterday. Actually, I listened to her read it to me (she has it available in a mp3).

Here is what she said, in my own words, in her book.

I started having so much success that I couldn't handle it myself. I was sponsoring so many people that my downline had to help and they were sponsoring a lot of people. Me and my team were showing up in the top reports for the company all the time. We didn't do things like everyone else and they didn't want anyone asking, so they removed us from the reports. It couldn't be contained! The growth we were having spread everywhere and people wanted to be moved to our group. Of course that can't happen, so people quit, waited their time limit, and resigned up under my group.


It is easy to say, my MLM company isn't like that. I hope that is true but the majority of companies are. One way to tell is by the TOS (Policy and Procedures). If they are very restrictive, then yes, your company is like that.

Some companies, like AMWAY, have something like 50 pages to their TOS. How ridiculous!

I read theirs, and they, along with Melaluca, are two of the most strictest companies around.

Both of these companies fit into that category that I was talking about above.

Now I have rambled on and I hope it was beneficial for you.

I said all that to say this, it is totally untrue that you can't make money in your first year.

When you use good business practices, you should make money your first year. I know people that made a full time income in 6-8 months.

If I didn't slack off like I did, I would be in the same position. So, I'm turning the heat up.
